  • It emphasizes that the whole is composed of many interdependent parts. When one part is out of balance, it affects the others.

  • Sugar waxing (also known as sugaring) and traditional waxing share similarities in their hair removal methods, but they also have some key differences. Let’s explore these aspects:

What is Sugaring?

Sugar vs Wax

  1. Ingredients:

    • Sugar Wax: It consists of a simple blend of sugar, water, and lemon juice. These natural ingredients form a paste that can be used for hair removal used in ancient Egyptian times. Unlike synthetic waxes, sugar wax is fully biodegradable.

    • Traditional Wax: Traditional wax typically contains beeswax, resin, and oils, along with other possible additives/chemicals.

  2. Application Technique:

    • Sugar Waxing: The warm sugar wax paste is applied to the skin, then the paste is molded to your hair and is removed in quick swift motions removing only hair and dead skin cells.

    • Traditional Waxing: Involves applying the wax in the path of hair growth and pulling against it often causing ingrowns.

  3. Temperature:

    • Sugar Wax: Is never hot but slightly warm/room tempature so it will never burn you.

    • Traditional Wax: Requires warming the mixture to a hot tempature before use often causing burns and skin irritation.

  4. Body Areas:

    • Sugar Wax: Can be used on any part of the body where hair typically grows.

    • Traditional Wax: Safe for use only on specific areas due to its heat and harshness.

  5. Environmental Impact:

    • Sugar Wax: Composed of biodegradable ingredients, making it eco-friendly.

    • Traditional Wax: Not biodegradable and has a greater environmental impact.

  6. Cost:

    • Sugar Wax: Inexpensive and can be made at home using readily available ingredients.

    • Traditional Wax: Often involves purchasing premade cosmetic waxing kits or salon visits, making it potentially costlier.

In summary, sugar waxing offers comparable results to traditional waxing but with the added benefits of natural ingredients, safety, and environmental friendliness. Choose the method that aligns best with your preferences and needs!

How to prepare for your Sugaring Appointment

  • Come to your appointment with clean skin. Showering prior can increase better results.

  • Avoid ALL lotions or oil prior to sugaring and avoid exfoliating 3 days prior to your appointment. The sugar needs your dead skin cells to remove the hair properly.

  • For the best experience, a minimum of two weeks of hair growth is required, but the more hair the better!

  • Take an IB Profen / Advil 1 hour prior to your appointment. This is not required but can help ease the pain.

For a more Holistic approach you may take Cayenne Pepper Capsules or by the spoon-full in place of IB profen/motrin Here are other benefits to this remarkable herb:

Reduces migraines, prevents blood clots, removes toxins, lowers blood pressure, boost metabolism, heals ulcers, supports eye health, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, reduced toothache pain, anti-inflammatory, skin repair, promotes longevity, reduces allergies, reduced anxiety, boost the immune system
